Worldwide travel coverage Provided the majority (51%) of your period of coverage is spent in Canada except the country of origin
Pre-existing condition For persons 69 years and under: covered if stable in the 120 days prior to the effective date of the policy.
For persons 70 to 79 years: not covered The applicant can purchase an additional optional coverage to cover pre-existing conditions provided they were stable in the 120 days prior to the effective date of the policy. A 25% surcharge will apply

Waiting period For policy purchased prior to your arrival in Canada: waived

FAQ: REFUNDS: - Full refund before the effective date of the policy. - Full refund less cancellation fee within 30 days from the effective date and prior the expiry date of the policy. - Partial refund less administrative fee if you return to your country of permanent residence or become eligible for a provincial or territorial government health care plan.
EXTENSIONS: You can extend your period of coverage by calling your broker or Travel Underwriters if you meet the following conditions: - You are in good health. - You have not seen a physician since your departure date or the effective date of the policy. - You have not submitted a claim and have no intent to submit a claim. - Your period of coverage has not already expired. - Extensions are not available if total trip length exceeds two years from the effective date of the original policy.
SIDE TRIPS: Travel worldwide during the period of coverage is valid as long as the majority of the period of coverage is spent in Canada. Coverage is not applicable while in your country of permanent residence.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT: The company agrees to pay you or your physician and hospital directly in respect of the expenses for losses incurred in excess of the amount of the deductible as shown on the application per insured per covered claim.
