Eligibility
Applicant must:
Be over 14 days old and have not reached the age 90 years at the time of application
Be a visitor to Canada, an immigrant awaiting provincial government health care coverage, or a returning Canadian
Have not been residing continuously in Canada for more than two (2) years

Maximum period of coverage
365 days for person 69 years and under / 183 days for persons 70-89 years of age
Minimum premium: $15 CAD per policy
Family rate available: Max age for parents is 60
Worldwide travel coverage
Provided the majority (51%) of your period of coverage is spent in Canada except the country of origin
Pre-existing condition
For persons 69 years and under: covered
if stable in the 120 days prior to the effective date of the policy.
For persons 70 to 79 years: not covered
The applicant can purchase an additional optional coverage to cover pre-existing conditions provided
they were stable in the 120 days prior to the effective date of the policy.
A 25% surcharge will apply
For persons 80 to 89 years: not covered.
Waiting period
For policy purchased prior to your arrival in Canada: waived
For policy purchased within 60 days after your arrival in Canada: 48 hours from the effective date of this policy for Emergency Sickness
For policy purchased 61 days or more after your arrival in Canada: 7 days from the effective date of this policy for Emergency Sickness
Benefits
Emergency medical services
Physician, ambulance, X-ray, diagnostic laboratory and rental of essential medical appliances
Prescription drugs: 30 days supply up to $10,000 CAD
Private duty nursing
Follow-up visits: up to $3,000 CAD per policy
Other professional medical services: up to $500 CAD per practitioner
Physiotherapist, chiropractor, chiropodist, osteopath, podiatrist for the relief of acute emergency pain
Dental services
Blow to the face: up to $4,000 CAD
Emergency treatment: $600 CAD
Emergency air transportation
Medical transport to nearest medical facility or back home
Return of insured traveling companion: one-way economy airfare
Family transportation
One economy return airfare or ground transportation costs and up to $100 CAD per meals and accommodation
Child care: up to $50 CAD per day to a maximum of $500 CAD
In the event the insured is hospitalized
Maternity: up to $3,000 CAD for pregnancy
Childbirth and complication thereof in the last nine (9) weeks of the expected date of delivery provided the pregnancy commenced after the effective date of the policy
Out-of-pocket expenses: $200 CAD per day to a maximum of $2,000 CAD
If insured or traveling companion is hospitalized
Return of vehicle: up to $2,500 CAD
Repatriation in case of insured’s death
Up to $12,000 CAD for return of the deceased to home country
Up to $5,000 CAD for burial or cremation at the place of death
24-hour Accident Insurance and Air Flight Insurance: up to $25,000 CAD
